The Cheese Barn is located 11km from Thames on the Hauraki Rail Trail and is open 6 days a week, Tuesday through Sunday.
The Cafe/shop sells all the BioGro Organic Certified cheese and yoghurt products made on site. Homemade gelato ice cream is also sold only in the shop. Much of the food, including homemade pies and cheesy sausage rolls, is made on site. Many dishes, like pizza and cheese boards, feature the cheeses made there. Cooked Breakfasts are available on weekends from 9am to midday.
There is a great outdoor area with animals for the kids to hand-feed and plenty of outdoor seating, so you can enjoy the peace of the countryside with a BYO wine to have with your food.
